ASHEVILLE, NC—The South Carolina State women's soccer team suffered yet another setback on the road in a 0-1 loss to UNC Asheville Thursday (Sept.4) inside Greenwood Field.
South Carolina State falls to 1-0 on the season, while UNC Asheville improves to 4-1-1.
Both teams provided a defensive battle with UNC Asheville prevailing on a late goal at the Lilly AVL Graumann and assist by Campbell Stoll and Karlee Benz with 0:43 seconds remaining in regulation.

NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns to action at home Sunday (Sept. 7) in a showdown with SWAC foe Alabama A&M inside Oliver C. Dawson Stadium on Willie Jeffries Field. First kick is 11 a.m.
