ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's volleyball team will open Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play at home versus Maryland Eastern Shore Friday (Sept. 26) inside Dukes Gymnasium.

THE SERIES: UMES leads the series 12-1 dating back to 2010. The Haws have won 12 in a row over the Lady Bulldogs. The last time SC State posted a victory was Nov. 11, 2010, in a 3-1 (25-21, 25-17, 23-25, 27-15) in the MEAC Volleyball Tournament. SCSU would go on to claim its 2^nd league title in school history that season.

LAST TIMEOUT: The Lady Bulldogs (2-9 overall, 0-0 MEAC) look to bounce back after suffering a tough 1-3 loss (10-25, 26-28,25-19, 14-25) in their last outing on Tuesday (Sept.23) in Charleston, SC.
Meanwhile, Maryland Eastern Shore (3-9 overall, 0-0 MEAC) also look to snap a losing skid after dropping back-to-back losses to Furman (0-3) and Charlotte (0-3) on the road in the UNC Charlotte Tournament.

NEXT UP: South Carolina State return to MEAC play on Sunday (Sept.28) at home when they host Delaware State inside Dukes Gym. First serve is 1:00 p.m.
