ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's volleyball team knocked off Claflin in three sets (25-23, 25-23 and 25-17) Monday (Sept. 15) evening inside Edward L. Tullis Arena.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 2-7 overall, while Claflin falls to 0-5 on the season.
Leading the way for SCSU was
Kiyah Felder with 10 kills, 32 team assist and 10.5 points. Teammates
Robyn White added 6.5 points, 18 team assist, while
Taelyn Graham chipped in 4.5 points, 12 team assist along with 4.5 points in the win.
Claflin was led by Zanyia Harris (9 kills, 30 TA and 11.5 points) and Graysome Graham (5 kills, 12 TA and 5 points).
NEXT UP: SCSU remains on the road as they travel to Statesboro, Ga., to take on Georgia Southern in an 6:00 p.m. start Thursday (Sept. 18)
