Women’s Soccer Drops Close Decision To The Citadel

ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's soccer team came up short in a 0-1 decision to The Citadel Thursday (Aug. 28th) evening inside O.C. Dawson Stadium on Willie Jeffries Field.

SCSU fall is 1-3 on the season, while The Citadel improves to 1-1-1 on the season.
 
The Lady Bulldogs played a tough defense strategy throughout the game but came up short at the end when The Citadel scored off an goal by Ariana Paez and assisted by Yoshiki Kitadai at the 77:20 mark in the 2nd half.

NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns to action Sunday (Aug.31) on the road at Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs, NC. First kick is 6 :00 pm. The game will be televised live on ESPN+.

South Carolina State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program.
