THE HILL|The South Carolina State volleyball team opens the season on the road in the second annual Betty Austin Invitational on Friday, August 29th, and Saturday. August 30th in Elmore Gymnasium.

Teams competing in the Invitational are Morgan State, Delaware State, Arkansas Pine Bluff, Southern University, and host Alabama A&M.

SC State will open play versus host Alabama A&M in a 1 pm start on Friday (Aug.29), followed by a showdown with Southern at 5 pm. The Lady Bulldogs close out play on Saturday (Aug. 30) versus Arkansas Pine Bluff at 2 pm.

ABOUT SC STATE ATHLETICS
South Carolina State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 14 sports: women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, softball, men's and women's outdoor track and field, women's soccer and football with all teams competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), except for women's soccer.
