The MATCHUP
 SCSU: The Lady Bulldogs finished the 2024 campaign at 1-14 overall under former head coach Liz Amanda Brown. South Carolina State look to turn things around under Richardson with the return of several veterans from last year's squad.
 
PC: The Blue Hose pieced together a solid opening-day showing against The Citadel on Thursday, unable to account for the nil-nil tiebreaker but controlling possession for most of the contest and finding several near-misses at the net.
