ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State softball team dropped an tough, 9-3, decision Sunday (April.13) over Delaware State inside Lady Bulldog Softball Field.
South Carolina State falls to 10-18 overall, 6-9 in the MEAC, while Delaware State improves to 19-20 overall 7-8 in the league.
The Lady Bulldogs are currently in 6
th place in league standings out of eight teams.
DSU jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead in the bottom of the 2
nd inning, before SCSU posted a big homerun by LaKauree "Kauree" Munyan to finish with 3 RBIs with scores by
Taylor Ames-Alexander and
Madison Boyd.
The Hornets will finish with four (4) unanswered runs to secure the 9-3 win over the South Carolina State.
South Carolina State returns in a three-game road series versus Maryland-Eastern Shore April 18-19
th in Princess Anne, MD.
