CLINTON, SC—South Carolina State men's tennis team have peaked an important time of the season capturing that last three non-conference wins over George Mason (4-0), Furman (6-1) and Presbyterian College (6-1) to improve to 7-3 on the season.

The Bulldogs knocked off a very talented PC team Friday (March 22) 6-1 inside Templeton Tennis Courts.

SCSU captured the doubles point at the No.1 spot with Mikalai Bankou/Novak Novakovic (SCSU) def. David Mamalat/Evgenios Vasilakis (PC) 6-1 and the No.2 spot Aissa Benchakroun/Julius Augunas (SCSU) def. Pedro Cardoso/Daksh Prasad (PC) 6-3.

In singles action, Mikalai Bankou (SCSU) def. David Mamalat (PC) 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) at the No. 1 spot: Novak Novakovic (SCSU) def. Pedro Cardoso (PC) 4-6, 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot ; Aissa Benchakroun (SCSU) def. Daksh Prasad (PC) 6-2, 5-7, 7-5 at the No. 3 spot; Julius Augunas (SCSU) def. Evgenios Vasilakis (PC) 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 at the No. 4 spot and  Iliyas Maratuly (SCSU) def. Marco Foglieni (PC) 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 6 spot respectively.
