Men’s Tennis Dominate In 3-0 Sweep In MEAC Roundup

WASHINGTON, DC—The South Carolina State men's tennis team powered their way to victory over the weekend in fashion in an 3-0 sweep in the MEAC Men's Tennis Roundup held at the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) and Washington Tennis & Education Foundation (WTEF).

In the opening match it was SC State knocking off Morgan State 6-1 on Friday (March. 28), followed by a 6-1 win over Howard on Saturday (March.29). The Bulldogs closed on the roundup with a 7-0 shutout win over Coppin State on Sunday (March.30).
South Carolina State improves to 10-3 overall, 3-0 in the MEAC.

Next up SCSU will close out home play on Saturday (April 5th) when they host visiting North Carolina Central in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference showdown. First serve is 11 am at the Hardeep Judge Tennis Center.

ABOUT SC STATE ATHLETICS
South Carolina State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 14 sports: women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, softball, men's and women's outdoor track and field, women's soccer and football with all teams competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), except for women's soccer.
