Credential Application Now Open for 2025 MEAC Basketball Tournament

WHAT: Credential Application Now Open for 2025 MEAC Basketball Tournament 
WHEN: March 12-15, 2025 
WHERE: Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va. 
WHO: Media outlets interested in covering the 2025 MEAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament are invited to apply for credentials, either by CLICKING HERE visiting www.MEACHoops.com and clicking on "Credential Application" 

The MEAC will give priority for the 2025 MEAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament to institutional radio, ESPN broadcasters and producers, media outlets local to the Hampton Roads, Va. area, and beat writers and photographers who regularly cover MEAC institutions. All others will be considered on a case-by-case basis, dependent on available space and each outlet's level of MEAC/institutional coverage. 
CREDENTIAL DISTRIBUTION POLICIES
  • The application closes on Friday, February 28; requests for credentials after the deadline will not be accepted. 
  • Credentials and parking passes will be issued based on approval by the MEAC Strategic Communications Office.
  • Submission of credential application does not guarantee credential approval.
  • Credentials granted to working media only.
  • Only one application per media agency.
  • Application must be submitted by an authorized sports editor/news director.
  • No passes issued to freelance photographers.
  • No passes issued to freelance writers, equipment carriers, film runners, other "assistants" etc.
  • No passes issued to children or spouses.
  • GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A CREDENTIAL.
  • CREDENTIALS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE UNLESS APPROVED BY THE MEDIA COORDINATOR.
  • Credential requests will not be accepted via email.

ABOUT THE MID-EASTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE 
The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) enters its 54th year of intercollegiate competition with the 2024-25 academic school year. Located in Norfolk, Va., the MEAC is made up of eight outstanding historically black institutions across the Atlantic coastline: Coppin State University, Delaware State University, Howard University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Morgan State University, Norfolk State University, North Carolina Central University and South Carolina State University.
