WASHINGTON, DC—Graduate guard Omar Croskey tossed in a game-high 27 points along with eight (8) rebounds and three (3) steals to lead South Carolina State to an impressive 89-66 road win over Howard Monday (Feb. 3) at Burr Gymnasium.

South Carolina State improves to 10-12 overall, 4-3 in MEAC, while Howard falls to 8-14 overall, 3-2 in the league.

Sophomore forward Drayton Jones controlled the front court with 15 points and eight (8) rebounds, while true freshman Jayden Johnson has a solid performance with 14 points, four (4) assists and (4) steals on the day.

In a reserve role senior forward Davion Everett provided an extra lift off the bench with 11 points and six (6) rebounds.

The Bulldog's defense was tenacious forcing a game-high and season best 29 turnovers.

SCSU dominated in just about every category on the day leading the way in points in the paint (44-16), points off turnovers (34-15), second chance points (9-9), fast break points (25-3), bench points (25-11) and rebounds (39-30).

NEXT UP: South Carolina State takes a break from Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play to host Mid-Atlantic Christian University Saturday (Feb.8) in a 2:00 Pm start inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
