ORANGEBURG, SC—Graduate guard
Omar Croskey tossed in a team-high 16 points to lead South Carolina State to an. 90-62, victory over visiting Morgan State Saturday (Feb.15) inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
South Carolina State improves to 12-12 overall, 5-3 in the MEAC, while Morgan State falls to 10-14 overall, 4-4 in the league.
Freshman guard
Jayden Johnson added 14 points and three (3) rebounds, while
Drayton Jones added nine (9) points and six (6) rebounds in the win.
The Bulldogs dominated in several categories included points in the paint (38-34), points off turnovers (23-18), second chance points (21-12), fast break points (16-7), bench points (42-18) and rebounds (42-39).
NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns to action on Monday (Feb.17) in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) showdown inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is 7:30 pm, immediately following the women's contest in an 5:30 pm start.
