DOVER, DE—Sophomore guard
Mitchell Taylor tossed in a team-high 23 points to lead South Carolina State to an, 94-88, overtime thriller over Delaware State Saturday (Feb.22) inside Memorial Hall.
South Carolina State improves to 14-12 overall, 7-3 in the MEAC and remain in 2
nd place in the league race, while Delaware State falls to 13-12 overall, 5-5 in the league.
Three other Bulldogs scored in double figures along with
Drayton Jones 19 points,
Wilson Dubinsky 16 points and nine (9) rebounds and
Omar Croskey with 10 points and five rebounds.
Davion Everett provided a solid effort off the bench with seven (7) points and three rebounds.
SCSU dominated in several categories including points off turnovers (27-25), bench points (41-8) and rebounds (34-24).
NEXT UP: South Carolina State remain on the road when they take on UMES on Monday (Feb. 24) in Princess Anne, MD.
