SERIES: Charlotte leads the series 6-0 over the Bulldogs. The last time the two teams met Charlotte defeated SC State 5-2 on Feb. 16, 2024.
Scouting the Bulldogs
South Carolina State ended their last season undefeated in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference with a 5-0 record and an overall mark of 14-8. The Bulldogs met North Carolina Central in the MEAC Championship where they claimed their fourth consecutive conference title.
After drawing a familiar foe in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the Bulldogs fell to No. 6 Wake Forest, 4-0.
Scouting the Charlotte
Charlotte entered the spring season on the heels of an American Athletic Conference Championship in the program's inaugural year in the conference. It upended top-seeded Memphis in the AAC Title Match, 4-3. The comeback win came after an initial 3-0 deficit to the Tigers.
