SPARTANBURG, SC—Guard
Shaunice Reed tossed in a team-high 22 points, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped a tough, 78-69, decision to USC Upstate Monday (Nov. 17) inside G.B. Hodge Center.
South Carolina State falls to 2-2 on the season, while USC Upstate improves to 2-3.
Also leading the way for the Bulldogs were Lemiyah Harris with 13 points, Mya Bryd with 12 and
Angie Juste-Jean with 10 points and eight (8) rebounds on the day.
Despite the loss the Lady Bulldogs led in several categories including points in the paint (20-18), points off turnovers (25-20), second chance points (18-14), and rebounds 37-35.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns to action on Thursday (Nov. 20) in a non-conference battle with Queens College of Charlotte inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
