ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carlina State women's basketball team put up an solid effort but came up short in an tough 85-49 defeat to University of Georgia Thursday (Nov.13) inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
Lemyiah Harris led the way for SC State with 13 points, while
Mya Byrd and
Angie Juste-Jean finished with 12 points respectively in the loss. Juste-Jean also finished with a team-high six (6) rebounds.
UGA was led by Dani Carnegie with a game-high 22 points.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns to action Monday (Nov. 17) on the road versus USC Upstate in a non-conference battle. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
