ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State volleyball team completed, and season sweep over Claflin in an 3-0 shutout victory Wednesday (Oct. 22) inside Dukes Gymnasium.
South Carolina State improves to 5-15 overall, while CU falls to 3-17 on the season.
Leading the way for the Lady Bulldogs were
Kiyah Felder with a game-high 12 kills along with
Robyn White and
Hailey Harris with seven (7) respectively. White also finished with four (4) aces, while freshman setter
Arianna James posted a season best 28 assists.
Senior
Miya Benson led the way in digs with 11 in the win.
SCSU dominated in every category as a team leading the way in points with 44.0/20.0, Kills 34/13, Aces, 7/3, Assist 34/11 and Digs 51/34.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State hits the road for back-to-back Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference battles with UMES (Oct.24) at 6 p.m. in Princess Anne, MD and Delaware State (Oct. 26) in a 1 p.m. start in Dover, DE.
