ORANGEBURG, SC—Junior guard
Shaunice Reed posted once again another productive outing with a team-high 19 points and four rebounds, but it wasn't about enough as South Carolina State dropped an 55-63 decision to UMES Monday (Jan.13) night inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
Angie Juste-Jean finished with 10 points and three rebounds, while
Janiah Hinton added nine (9) points and five rebounds in the loss. Senior guard Makayla Lumpkin provided a solid effort off the bench with five points and five rebounds.
South Carolina State falls to 2-18 overall, 1-3 in the MEAC, while UMES improves to 6-12 overall, 1-2 in the league.
