ORANGEBURG, SC— South Carolina State women's volleyball suffers back-to-back setbacks to Norfolk State and Howard in their Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) at home inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

In the first contest versus Norfolk State the Lady Bulldogs fell behind couldn't secure the victory in the 3-1 defeat to Norfolk State.

In the second contest versus MEAC powerhouse Howard the Lady Bulldogs pushed the Bison to the limits giving them all they could handle on the day.

Xaria Pickett finished with a team-high 15 kills, while McKinley Roach added four (3) blocks and Kaia Barnett with 30 assists along with Pickett chipped in a team-best 10 gids in an 0-3 loss.

NEXT UP: South Carolina State heads to Baltimore, MD to take on Coppin State on Friday (Oct. 4) in a 6 pm start, followed by Morgan State on Sunday (Oct.6) in an 11 am first serve.
