CHARLESTON, SC—The South Carolina State men's and women's country teams competed over the weekend at the Charleston Southern Buccaneer Open, with the women finishing 7
th place overall and men 9
th in team scores.
The top five finishes on the women side out of 61 participants were
Jianna Hibbler finishing 53
rd (24:58.4), Emani Asbury 56

Makenzie Edwards 58
th (27:56.2), Makayla Toussiant 59
th (28:55.8) and
TyQwasia Williams 60
th spot with a time of 29:32.3.
On the men's side out of 77 participants were Kameron Smith finishing 54
th (22:32.9),
Kenton George 65
th (23:58.5),
Jacob Alexander 67
th (25:34.4),
Isaiah Campbell 70
th (27:25.6) and
Jaden Barker with the 74
th spot with a time of 30:11.7.
Next up South Carolina State will compete in the Winthrop Adidas Invitational on Sept. 28
th in Rock Hill, SC in an 8:30 am start.
