CHARLESTON, SC—The South Carolina State men's and women's cross-country teams will kick off the 2024 campaign Friday (Aug. 30^th) at the CSU Buccaneer Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern University..

Coach Cooper and his team will compete in four meets this season beginning with the CSU Invitational.

Other teams competing are host Charleston Southern, The Citadel, Claflin, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Johnson & Wales, Columbia College, Spartanburg Methodist, and Savannah Art & Design.

Next up South Carolina State will compete in the Winthrop Adidas Invitational on Sept. 28^th on the campus of Winthrop University.

ABOUT SC STATE ATHLETICS
South Carolina State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 14 sports: women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, softball, men's and women's outdoor track and field, women's soccer and football with all teams competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), except for women's soccer.
