ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's and women's cross-country teams will compete in four (4) regular season meets over the next two months of the season in in preparation for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championships and possibly NCAA postseason competition.
 
South Carolina State will open the season at the CSU Buccaneer Open in Charleston, SC on August 30^th, followed by the Winthrop Adidas Invitational on September 28^th in Rock Hill, SC.

The month of October, Coach Donald Cooper and the cross-country team will head back to Charleston for the CSU Invitational on Oct. 4^th, before closing out the regular season at the USCB Invite in Beaufort, SC on Oct. 12^th.

The 2024 MEAC Cross Country Championship will be hosted by Delaware State University for a third straight year. The teams that claim the MEAC titles on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Smyrna, Delaware, will automatically advance to the NCAA Regionals.

ABOUT SC STATE ATHLETICS
South Carolina State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 14 sports: women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, softball, men's and women's outdoor track and field, women's soccer and football with all teams competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), except for women's soccer.
