ORANGEBURG, SC---The South Carolina State women's volleyball team released its 2024 schedule Tuesday. The 26-match slate includes eight (8) home matches and three tournaments.

Second-year head coach Melissa Paige's team will open the season at home in an exhibition against neighboring Claflin University (Aug. 24) at Dukes Gymnasium, before beginning regular- season play in the three-day (Aug. 29-31) Alabama State Invitational in Montgomery, AL. The Lady Bulldogs will meet host Alabama State (Aug. 29), Nicholls State (Aug. 30) and University of Louisiana at Monroe on (Aug. 31).

SCSU will remain on the road for a second tournament, the Tennessee State Invitational at Nashville, TN, with matches against Bethune-Cookman Sept. 13, and host Tennessee State and Mississippi Valley State Sept. 14.
Paige and the Lady Bulldogs close out regular-season tournament play back in the Palmetto State at Spartanburg in the Wofford College Invitational (Terrier Invite), with showdowns versus host Wofford (Sept. 19), Presbyterian College (Sept. 20) and Valparaiso (Sept. 21).

SC State remains on the road at USC-Upstate (Sept.24), before hosting Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opponents Howard (Sept. 27) and Norfolk State (Sept. 29) at Dukes Gymnasium.

The Lady Bulldogs next embark on a three-game league road trip with a stop in Baltimore, MD versus Coppin State (Oct. 4) and Morgan State (Oct.6), before heading to Durham, NC to take on North Carolina Central (Oct. 6).

A return to the Palmetto State features a mid-season, non-conference contest with intrastate foe Allen (Oct.9), before conference showdowns at home with Maryland-Eastern Shore (Oct.11) and Delaware State (Oct. 13) in Orangeburg.

With seven MEAC contest remaining on the schedule, SCSU returns to the road at the nation's capital, Washington, DC, for a battle with Howard (Oct.25) and a contest against Norfolk State (Oct.27) in Virigina.

Coppin State (Nov.1) and Morgan State (Nov.3) will visit Orangeburg for a pair of league matches, before the Lady Bulldogs finish off their road schedule in Princess Anne, MD versus UMES (Date ??) and Dover, DE against Delaware State on Nov. 10.

SCSU closes out the regular season at home with North Carolina Central on Nov. 15.
