HILTON HEAD, SC---The South Carolina State women's tennis team improved to 6-3 overall with an 7-0 win over Rider University in the Hilton Head Spring Invitational.

The Lady Bulldogs claimed the doubles point with wins at the No.1 spot 6-1, No. 2 spot 6-3 and the No. 3 spot6-4.

In women's singles action SCSU claimed all points with victories at the No. 1 spot Sofiya Chursina def. Cecarevli (6-2, 6-1); at the No. 2 spot Hind Semlali def. Fishmen (6-0, 6-3); at the No. 3 spot Rachida Berjane def. Naves (6-3, 6-1); at the No. 4 spot Nalanda Silva def. Coetzee (6-0, 6-0) at the No. 5 spot Teodora Vujicic def. Sydow (7-6, 6-5) and at the No.6 spot Feriel Mahbouli def. Laduke (6-1,6-2).
