ROCK HILL, SC—The South Carolina State women's basketball team dropped their 11-straight contest on the road in an 46-55 loss to host Winthrop Wednesday (Dec. 11) inside the Winthrop Coliseum.
South Carolina State falls to 1-12 overall, while Winthrop improves to 6-4 on the season.
Ali Hardwell finished with a team-high 10 points, while
Rakyha Reid added eight (8) points and six (6) rebounds in the loss.
Despite the loss, The Lady Bulldogs led in several categories including points in the paint (36-32) and rebounds (35-32).
NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns home to take on Charleston Southern on Tuesday (Dec. 17) versus Charleston Southern in a 6:30 pm start.
