COLUMBIA, SC—Senior guard
Michael Teal tossed in 11 points, while
Wilson Dubinsky added 10 but it wasn't enough as SC State dropped a tough, 86-64, decision to SEC foe South Carolina Friday (Nov.9) inside Colonial Life Arena.
SC State falls to 1-1 on the season, while South Carolina improves to 1-1.
Despite the loss, the Bulldogs defense forced the Gamecocks to a game-high 13 turnovers.
Twelve South Carolina State players saw action for Coach
Erik Martin's team leading the way in bench points over USC 35-22.

Mitchell Taylor finished with seven (7) points and three rebounds, while
Drayton Jones,
James Morrow and
D'Shay Wright all added six points respectively. Jones also grabbed a team-high six rebounds in the loss.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns to action on Monday (Nov. 11) night versus Voorhees College in a non-conference matchup inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
