ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's volleyball team drop back-to-back MEAC contests over the weekend to UMES and Delaware State inside Dukes Gymnasium.
South Carolina State falls to 3-21 overall, 1-11 in league play.
In the first contest on Friday (Nov. 9) the Lady Bulldogs played tough but fell short in three sets to Maryland Eastern Shore 25-14, 25-17 and 25-23.
Xaria Pickett led the way with 8 kills, while
Hailey Harris and
Robyn White posted seven respectively. Harris added three (3) blocks along with
Kaia Barnett led the way with 16 assist and
Miya Benson seven (7) digs.
On Sunday (Nov. 10) SCSU dropped their second match over the weekend to Delaware State 3-0 (25-16, 25-11, 25-17).
Xaria Pickett finished with 8 kills, while
Kaia Barnett added 22 assists and
Trinity Stevenson 12 digs.
NEXT UP: SCSU will host "Senior Day" on Friday (Nov. 15) when they will honor and salute three student-athletes inside Dukes Gymnasium.
