PRINCESS ANNE, MD—The South Carolina State women's volleyball team pushed the host Hawks to the limit dropping a tough, 2-3, defeat on the road to Maryland Eastern Shore Friday (Oct. 11) inside Hytche Center.

SCSU down two sets rallied back to win sets three (25-17) and four (25-14) before dropping the fifth set 11-15.

The Lady Bulldogs fall to 3-13 overall, 1-4 in the MEAC, while UMES improves to 6-9 overall, 1-3 in MEAC play.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Leading the way for SCSU in kills was Xaria Pickett with a game-high 22 kills and Robyn White with 10 along with Kiyah Felder's nine (9).
• Kiyah Felder posted five (5) aces.
• McKinley Roach, Hailey Harris and Kiyah Felder added two (2) blocks each respectively.
• Kaia Barnett added a game-high 30 assist as well as 14 digs.
• Miya Benson chipped in 11 digs along with Robyn White finished with eight (8).

NEXT UP: South Carolina State remain on the road in their road five-match stretch, with Delaware State on Sunday (Oct. 13) at 11:30 a.m.
