ORANGEBURG, SC—The Defending MEAC Champion South Carolina State women's tennis team will host visiting Francis Marion in their season-opener Sunday (Jan.28) at The Hardeep Judge Tennis Center. First serve is 2 p.m.

Coach Hardeep Judge the All-Time Winningest coach in school history is entering his 23^rd season at the helm of the women's program. The legendary coach has led the program to 17 league championships and three in a row.

Last season the Lady Bulldogs finished 12-8 overall, 6-0 in the MEAC.

SCSU returns a veteran squad from last year's championship team with six returnees and one newcomer.

NEXT UP: SC State will hit the road to take on Charleston Southern on Thursday (Feb.1) in a non-conference matchup, beginning at 1 p.m.
