Orangeburg, SC—The South Carolina State women's soccer team returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 5th) to host the Lady Buccaneers of Charleston Southern inside Oliver C. Dawson Stadium on Willie Jeffries Field. First Kick is 3 pm.
SC State (0-3) is coming off a 2-7 loss to Winthrop in their last outing, Saturday (Sept. 2nd). Against the Lady Eagles, sophomore MF, Brooke Gloster scored her first goal of the season. Minutes later, newcomer Keleema Alexis scored a penalty kick goal. Despite the loss, first-time goalkeeper Sierra Curnell recorded an impressive game-high twelve (12) saves.
BUCCANEERS vs. BULLDOGS
Tuesday's game at South Carolina State will mark the 15th meeting between the two programs. Charleston Southern (3-1-1) owns a commanding 13-1-0 lead over S.C. State. In the last meeting, the Lady Bucs registered a 6-0 victory in Charleston, South Carolina.
Next Up: South Carolina State will be back on the road headed to Charlotte, NC to face Queens University in a 1 p.m. match on Sunday, September 10th at Queens Sports Complex.
