CHARLESTON – The South Carolina State volleyball team posted a strong showing over the weekend, despite suffering tough losses to The Citadel (0-3), FAMU (0-3) and host Charleston Southern (0-3) inside Buccaneer Fieldhouse.

In Game# 1 versus The Citadel Eleisha Thompson scored a team-high 5.5 points, while Kaia Barnett added 15 assists and Jordan Lewis 11 digs.

Meanwhile in Game # 2 versus FAMU Eleisha Thompson added a team-high 8.5 points, while Kaia Barnett added 20 assists and Thompson with 8 digs.

In Game # 3 versus Charleson Southern Hailey Harris scored a team-high Hailey Harris with 11 points, while Kaia Barnett added 15 assists and Trinity Stevenson with 9 digs.

Next up South Carolina State enters in league play on the road at Howard on Sept. 22^nd in Washington, DC at 6 p.m., followed by a contest with Norfolk State on Sunday on Sept.24^th in Norfolk, VA in a 1 p.m. start.
