ORANGEBURG, SC – South Carolina State sprinter Waddell Rembert-Jett will be among twenty-seven (27) student-athletes from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference competing at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Wednesday through Saturday (May 24-27) at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL.

Rembert-Jett, a senior of Columbia, SC, will compete in the 100 meters first round on Wednesday at 7 p.m. He enters the competition with a time of 10.22, the top time in the MEAC this season. Six heats with eight participants each make up the 100-meter field first round.

The top three performers in each heat and the next best six times will advance to the Friday's 6:35 p.m. quarterfinals. The top three performers in each of three heats and the next best three times will earn a trip to the NCAA Track and Field Championship at Austin, TX June 7-10
