WILLIAM L. BOOZER (Wrestling 1980-1984), native of Columbia, SC (Irmo, SC) – Earned four letters as a wrestler during his undergraduate years at SC State.
He earned a bachelor's in management from the university in 1984.
- Was the first and only four-time All-MEAC wrestler in SCSU history.
- Four-time MEAC Wrestling Champion (1981, 1982, 1983, 1984)
- NCAA Region Champion 1983
- NCAA Qualifier 1983
- MEAC Outstanding Wrestler 1981
- Member, MEAC Championship Team 1981, 1982 and 1983
PERSONAL: During his prep career he was SC High School State Champion at 167 lbs. 1980…SC High School State Runner-up 1978 and 1980 at 167 lbs…Currently resides in Columbia…Has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years and today general manager of Bojangles in Lugoff-Elgin…Was among the Top 5 restaurant managers among 140 stores between 2015 and 2019…The Pleasant Springs AME Church member and his wife, Leslie, are the parents of six children.
