ORAGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's basketball teams return to action on Monday (Jan. 23
rd) in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader with Delaware State at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
Tip-off for the women is 5:30 p.m., followed by the men in a 7:30 p.m. start.
Both teams look to bounce back after a tough loss to UMES on Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs (1-16 overall, 0-2 MEAC) drop an tough 58-52 decision, while the Bulldogs fell short (3-17 overall, 0-4 MEAC) 76-70 in the second game.
Lovely Sonnier posted a career-high day with 19 rebound and 17 points for the women, while
Rakeim Gary added 14 points on the men's side.
NEXT UP: Both teams hit the road in a two-game league skid at Norfolk State (Jan,28
th) and Howard (Jan. 30
th).
