GREENVILLE, NC—The South Carolina State women's basketball dropped their season-opener in an, 71-35, decision to host East Carolina Monday (Nov.7^th) at Williams Arena at Minges.

Junior forward Gift Sampson finished with a team-high 11 points and seven (7) rebounds, while sophomore guard Lovely Sonnier added nine points, five steals and five rebounds in the loss.

Next Up: South Carolina State remains on the road for a non-conference showdown with Queens University of Charlotte on Thursday (Nov.10^th) at 5 p.m.

Bulldog nation don't forget to join the Lady Bulldogs in their home opener Tuesday, Nov. 22^nd versus former MEAC rival North Carolina A&T State at 7 p.m. inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
