Charlotte, NC-The South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs quest to post their first win of the season fell short in an, 50-41, decision to the Royals of Queen University of Charlotte Thursday (Nov.10
th) in Curry Arena inside the Levine Center.
This was the first matchup between the two schools.
SC State was led by Janiah Hinton with a team-high 14 points, followed by Nicole Gwynn with 11. Sophomore guard Lovely Sonnier posted a strong showing in the frontcourt with 11 rebounds and six points in the loss.
The Royals were led by Kasey Kidwell with 12 points and Jordyn Weaver recorded the games only double-double with 11 points in 10 rebounds.
Next up South Carolina State travels to the Midwest to take on the University of St. Thomas, Saturday (Nov.12
th ) in an , 7 p.m. start.
