CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The South Carolina State women's basketball team will take a nationally-ranked #13 North Carolina Wednesday (Nov.16
th) morning at Carmichael Arena for an 11 a.m. tip-off. The game will air on ACC Network Extra.
No. 13 UNC comes into the game at 2-0 while the SCSU Bulldogs are 0-3.

UNC vs. South Carolina State
The Tar Heels and Bulldogs last met in 2020-21, in Carolina's fourth game of a season that saw massive impact from Covid. On Dec. 3, 2020, in a empty Carmichael Arena, UNC beat S.C. State 98-28, • Prior to the 2020 meeting, the teams hadn't met since the 2016-17 season.
Scouting the Bulldogs
South Carolina comes to Chapel Hill 0-3 following season-opening losses at East Carolina, Queens University and the University of St. Thomas. After Wednesday's game, the Bulldogs will play at Campbell on Saturday before their home opener on Nov. 22.
Nicole Gwynn leads SC State in scoring with 8.0 points per game. Lovely Sonnier is the team's top rebounder with 8.7 per game. Tim Eatman is in his first season as the team's head coach.
SC STATE BASKETBALL ON TV
The
Lady Bulldogs will appear first in a Tuesday, November 22, matchup with former MEAC foe and rival North Carolina A&T State in an 8 p.m. tip-off. The first 100 Bulldog fans will receive a rally towel and poster schedule giveaway.
The
Bulldogs are scheduled to take on the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 4 p.m. in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference showdown.
