PITTSBURGH, PA—Sophomore forward Davion Everett scored a game-high 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Duquesne defeated South Carolina State, 96-71, Monday (Nov.14
th) at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
Freshman guards DaJuan Bates added 14 and Jordan Simpson 11 pts and three assists, while junior Raquan Brown chipped in 10 in the loss. Forward Justin Wilson had a solid performance off the bench with six points and five rebounds.
South Carolina State remains on the road in the second game of the MTE Basketball Classic at Kentucky on Thursday (Nov. 17
th) at 7 p.m. in Lexington, KY, followed by a battle with North Florida on Saturday (Nov.19
th) at 5 p.m. in Jacksonville, FL.
