South Carolina State University's Office of Information Technology is continuing to resolve communications issues caused by the recent network outage.

While the internet is accessible through the ethernet, some functions remain inaccessible. The IT office continues to work to restore such features as desktop telephone service, Wi-Fi connectivity, Banner access and internal network logins.

The IT office on last Saturday discovered a security incident that impacted the availability of certain systems within its computer network. In response, SCSU promptly secured digital assets within its computer network and commenced an investigation. IT staff members are approaching this incident with the utmost seriousness and are focused on securely restoring the remaining systems as quickly and as safely as possible.
