ORANGEBURG, S.C. – South Carolina State University Athletics invites Bulldog Nation to "Meet the Bulldogs", presented by The STATE Club, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. inside the Smith-Hammond-Middleton (SHM) Memorial Center.
The annual event serves as the official kickoff to the 2026-27 athletics season, bringing together Bulldog fans, student-athletes, coaches, cheerleaders, and the world-renowned Marching 101 for a celebration of school spirit and Bulldog pride.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet student-athletes from every Bulldog athletic program, interact with coaches, celebrate alongside the SCSU Cheerleaders, and experience the energy and tradition of the legendary Marching 101. The event provides fans, alumni, students, and supporters with a unique opportunity to connect with the individuals who proudly represent South Carolina State University throughout the academic and athletic year.
In the spirit of Bulldog Nation supporting Bulldog Nation, all attendees are encouraged to bring one case of bottled water and/or one case of Gatorade to help support South Carolina State's student-athletes, cheerleaders, and the Marching 101. These donations will provide essential hydration resources for practices, training sessions, competitions, performances, and other team activities throughout the year.
Whether you're a lifelong Bulldog supporter, an alumnus, a current student, or a first-time visitor, Meet the Bulldogs is an opportunity to celebrate the start of a new season, strengthen the Bulldog community, and make a meaningful contribution to the success of the young men and women who proudly wear the Garnet and Blue.
