JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—The South Carolina State women's soccer team suffered a tough, 0-2, setback to Jacksonville University Tuesday (Aug. 31
st) at Southern Oak Stadium.
The Lady Bulldogs (0-3) were looking to avenge an earlier 0-7 defeat to the Dolphins (4-1-1) in their season-opener.
JU attempted eleven (11) shots and nine (9) corner kicks to come away with a 2-0 win over the undersized SCSU team who played with 10 players on the roster.
Next up South Carolina State will host SWAC foe Alabama State on Friday (Sept. 3
rd) at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium/Willie Jeffries Field. First Kick is 7 p.m.
