
ERONE EDMONDS- Football (1973-1977) North, SC /Olar, SC--Edmonds was one of the most outstanding defensive players at South Carolina State during his playing days (1973-1977)...Was a first team All-MEAC selection at linebacker in both 1975 and 1976, after earning honorable mention honors in 1974...Earned the SC State "Bill Goodwin" Award as the team's top linebacker in 1976...Earned All-America honors in 1976…Was a starter and defensive standout on SC State's 1976 National Black College Championship Team...SC State won three conference championships and the defense was ranked in the top three in the nation twice during his playing days...Was a high school football standout at North High School before entering college...At North High School Edmonds received several awards, including MVP for defense, named All-State linebacker; offensive tight end. Edmonds also received the MVP award for baseball and track and field. He is currently a physical chemical operator/wastewater operator in North, S.C.Â
