Lady Bulldogs Battle NCCU For Regular Season Tennis Title Wednesday

ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs will have a chance to earn this year's outright 2019 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Regular Season Title Wednesday (April 17th), when they take on visiting North Carolina Central at the Hardeep Judge Tennis Center.

South Carolina State (12-4 overall, 4-0 MEAC) secured a share of the regular season title after an impressive, 4-3, road win over Bethune-Cookman on Monday. NC Central (7-12 overall, 3-1 MEAC) enters the contest looking to snap a three-game losing skid.

Sophomore Zainab Bendahhou leads the way for the Lady Bulldogs with a 12-3 overall singles record, while freshman Ikram Rassif holds an 8-7 singles play record.

Next up South Carolina State will play in the 2019 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tennis Championships April, 25-27 in Norfolk, VA. Both teams have earned the No. 1 seed in this year's conference tournament.
