TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—The South Carolina State men's and women's tennis teams return to action on Saturday (March. 31
st) when they travel to the sunshine state to take on Florida A&M in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference showdown.
First serve for the men is 12 noon, followed by the women in a 1 p.m. start.
The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 5-5 overall, 3-0 MEAC record and have dominated their last two outings with victories over Bethune-Cookman (7-0) and Gardener-Webb University.
A win over the Rattlers (3-9 overall, 2-0 MEAC) will give the Bulldogs the 2018 Southern Division Regular Season title. FAMU enters the contest on a three-match winning streak with victories over Hampton (4-2), NCCU (5-2) and N.C.A&T State (6-1).
On the women's side, the Lady Bulldogs (4-4 overall, 2-0 MEAC) look to stay on track in their winning ways after capturing a tough 4-3 victory over visiting Savannah State. FAMU (2-10 overall, 2-0 MEAC) will be the huge challenge for SC State in order to remain undefeated in league play.
