ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State track and field teams open their 2018 outdoor campaign Friday at the two-day (Mar. 16-17) CSU Spring Break Invitational, hosted by Charleston Southern at Charleston, SC.

The meet, the first of eight engagements on the SC State outdoor schedule, will be conducted at the Bagwell-Settle Track Complex, beginning Friday at noon and at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Other meets on this year's schedule include the Weems Baskins Invitational Mar. 23-24 at Columbia, the USC Gamecock Invitational May 6-7, also at Columbia, the Savannah State Invite May 14 at Savannah, GA, the Gamecock Open May 28 at Columbia, a Last Chance meet yet to be determined May 28, the MEAC Outdoor Championship May 3-5 at Greensboro, NC, and the NCAA East Preliminary Round May 24-26 at Tampa, FL.
