CHARLOTTE, NC—The South Carolina State men's tennis team dropped their season opener Saturday (Jan.27^th ) in a , 6-1, decision to Charlotte at Lifetime Fitness, The Onyx Premier Club.
 
Charlotte got on the board early claiming the doubles point.
 
The Bulldogs (0-1) only score of the day came after senior Edgar Diaz defeated Sam Rice, 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 6 spot.
 
 South Carolina State returns to action on Friday, Feb. 2., on the road against intrastate rival University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC in a 3 p.m. showdown.
