ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's soccer team, seek their first win of the season Thursday (Sept. 7) when they host Winthrop University in a non-conference matchup at O.C. Dawson Stadium. First kick is 7 p.m.
A LOOK INTO THE GAME
The Bulldogs enter Thursday's contest with a 0-4 record on the season having scored only one goal. SC State has been outscored 17-1 so far this year.
Tierra Pullard has the lone Bulldog goal on the season. Meanwhile, Winthrop is coming off back-to-back one-goal losses to North Florida and Coastal Carolina.
SERIES HISTORY
The Eagles and Bulldogs have previously met 13 times with Winthrop holding an 11-2 advantage. The Eagles' two losses came in back-to-back years in 2009 and 2010 both by one-goal margins. Winthrop has won the last five meetings and has outscored SC State 36-8 in 13 contests.
