Box Score ORANGEBURG, SC---The South Carolina State women's soccer team snapped a six-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over visiting Alabama A&M Friday (Sept. 15
th) night at Oliver. C. Dawson Stadium.
The Lady Bulldogs (1-6) attempted a season-high 25 shots on the night. A&M took an early 1-0 lead on a made goal Alexus Lawson to start the game off. SC State responded on a goal by
Jamey Thomas at the 43:55 mark in the first-half.
Both teams closed out the intermission tied 1-1.
SC State responded in the second-half on
Tierra Pullard goal assisted by
Sophia Thomas to take an 2-1 lead. Sophomore
Kayla Mazariego sealed the 3-1 victory on a goal with an assist by
Taylor Brittingham late in the second-half.
Alabama A&M falls to 0-7 on the season. SC State returns to action on Sunday (Sept. 17
th) on the road against Mercer University in Macon, GA. First kick is 1 p.m.
