JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The South Carolina State women's soccer team opens the 2017 campaign on the road versus East Tennessee State Friday (Aug. 18) in a non-conference matchup at Summers-Taylor Stadium. First kick is 7 p.m.
South Carolina State is coming off a 3-11-2 campaign, which included a 2-7-1 road record. The Lady Bulldogs were outscored 51-17 on the season and 32-5 in away matches.
The Lady Bulldogs welcome back six seniors to lead to charge this season.
The last time to two teams met was at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium in Orangeburg, S.C. on September 18, 2016. The Bucs claimed a 7-0 victory.
Meanwhile, ETSU is coming off their first-ever NCAA appearance and posted an impressive 13-6-2 overall and 6-2-1 record in the Southern Conference, finishing 2nd in the regular season standings.
SC State returns to action on Sunday (Aug. 20) on the road at The Citadel. First kick is 1 p.m.
