ORANGEBURG, SC— The South Carolina State men's and women's tennis teams will host Campbell University in a non-conference matchup Tuesday (Mar. 8) at the
Hardeep Judge Tennis Courts.
First serve for the women begin at 12 noon, followed by a 1 p.m. start for the men.
The Bulldogs (1-3, 1-0) look to get back on the winning track after a tough, 7-0, loss to 51
st –ranked UNC-Wilmington in their last outing. Campbell (3-6, 1-0) fresh off an 6-1 victory over The Citadel on last week will seek to even up the series 4-4 with a win.
The last time the two teams met the Camels defeated the Bulldogs on April 3, 2014 at the Nisbet Center in a 4-3 victory.
Meanwhile, the Lady Bulldogs (1-6, 1-0) will look to snap a two-match losing skid with a win over Campbell (6-3, 1-1). The Camels are coming off an impressive 4-3 victory over Gardner-Webb on Saturday (Mar. 5).
SC State had dominated the series 4-1 on the women's side in the last five meetings dating back to the 2004-05 season. In the most recent encounter, the Camels came out with a 4-2 win on March 5, 2015.
